Designed by Afra and Tobia Scarpa for Cassina during the 1960s, this square coffee table reflects the designers' signature balance of architectural precision and natural materials. Cleanly proportioned and quietly refined, it remains a timeless example of Italian modern design. Crafted from solid walnut, the sculptural frame gently surrounds a thick smoked green glass top, creating the impression that the glass is suspended within the structure. The warmth of the walnut contrasts beautifully with the depth of the glass, giving the table a presence that feels both substantial and visually light. 

Brought to California by Unreturned after being sourced from a private collector in Italy, the table remains in excellent vintage condition. While sourcing this piece in Italy, we were drawn to the quiet confidence of its design. It’s a table that proves the finest craftsmanship often speaks in the softest voice.
