Default Title

Carlo Nason Floor Lamp for Mazzega I

Italy, 1960s

3,100 USD

Description

Designed by Carlo Nason for Mazzega, this iconic Murano floor lamp is a beautiful example of Italian lighting from the Space Age era. Six hand-blown Murano glass cylinders are arranged around a polished chrome frame, creating a sculptural silhouette that feels equally elegant when switched off as it does illuminated.

The clear Murano glass cylinders feature a softly shaded white interior that creates a warm, diffused glow while preserving the lamp's clean, architectural appearance. Three lighting settings allow the upper three, lower three, or all six shades to be illuminated independently, making it easy to create different moods throughout the day. It is one of those designs that effortlessly complements both minimalist and richly layered interiors.

We sourced this piece through a private collector in Italy and brought it to Los Angeles as part of our continuing search for timeless Italian design. It remains one of our favorite examples of how functional lighting can also become sculpture.
